Snowflakes and Pearls

Hi, everyone.

A quick post for a CAS card inspired by this week's Christmas in July Midweek Throwdown

snowflakes stenciled in Distress Ink faded jeans on watercolor paper
sentiment heat embossed in Distress Ink black soot
cardstock: black Bazzill
snowflake punches: EK, Recollection; hole punch: EK
Queen and Co. and Mark Richards pearls

I punched snowflakes and a hole out of cardstock and used them as stencils, applying ink with Stampin' Up! sponge daubers. And, I went with a non-holiday sentiment for a longer shelf life. Finally, I kept Paula's three-color rule in mind -- although it might not be quite 60:30:10.

That's about it for this little card. Have a good rest of the week.

Thanks for stopping and happy scrappin'!

That's a great way to make use of those snowflake punches! I like that you used a generic sentiment to add mileage to this pretty card! Well done!

This 'simple' card is perfect and looks as crisp and cool as a wintry day. I like the idea of making winter-themed cards as well as Christmas cards for our troops. TFS!

The photo does not do justice to the wonderful detail you included on the card! Really pretty!
