You Make America Proud

Hi everyone!

Today's Any Hero card was inspired by OWH Sketch #168.

Bo Bunny Liberty, Bazzill Admiral and Watermelon, Distress Ink core embossed with Sizzix folder
OWH digi washed in watered-down Fawn acrylic
stars: punched with Marvy punch, embossed with Studio 18 crystals

Decided to add a little tint to the sentiment when the white seemed too harsh. Since the sentiment ended up being a different size than the sketch, I added the three stars to the left. I'm not entirely happy with the crystals. They're a little more yellow that what they looked on the sheet. Thinking about replacing the stars so they are embellished with metallic brads instead. But, also wondering if I shouldn't just leave well enough alone. Hmmm....

Parting Thoughts

Finished SuperDAD cards yesterday. Will be packing up a box for OWH this week. :)

Have a great week. Thanks for visiting and happy scrappin'!

Hi Sybrina; you're right--this sketch is GREAT for patriotic DP. That reminds me I need to order some...I think your card is just fine as is, girl!

Oh, I like how you added the stars! I really need to make more Any Hero cards to add to my box.

I think it looks perfect the way it is, but I know what it's like not to completely love what you've made. It happens to me all the time. Enjoy the upcoming week.

I really like the addition of the stars! I have this same stamp and I may give it a try with this sketch now that I've seen your card!

Super terrific Any Hero card, someone will be very happy to get this. Love the papers and, of course, the sentiment. The crystals look fine in the pic but I know they can look different in person. Brads would be a good option if you really want to change it. Thanks for playing!

Great Any Hero card! I think the crystals look just fine since the background panel looks about the same color. I vote - leave as is!

This beauty really stood out for me on the S&S blog. The colors and design are just right. Nice Job!
