Somber Remembrances
On January 1, our local paper honored the one hundred ninety-nine Ohio soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines who died during the Iraq war. The tribute to these heroes can be read at Ohio's Fallen. My prayer for the families and loved ones of these brave young people is that 2012 brings peace and comfort.
Joyful Homecomings
A friend shared these videos from the Welcome Home Blog with me a few days ago. Those who enjoy seeing military homecomings will love this footage. (Dog people might love it even more.) My prayer for these returning troops is that the joy experienced in these homecomings lasts throughout the year.
